In March 2004, the Campaign published its first "Nurses Newletter" for nurses in the six Central Massachusetts birthing hospitals. The newsletter, compiled by Sarah Spurgeon of Massachusetts Citizens for Children, contains stories about the Nurses Breakfast, the SBS Quilts, and the Campaign's Eight Point Plan to reduce Shaken Baby Syndrome. DPH's Injury Surveillance Program is providing technical assistance to the Campaign regarding data gathering and case identification of SBS in both Worcester County and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
